Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced the addition of Chantel Febus as a Member of its Appellate and Critical Motions, Business Litigation, and Government Investigations and Corporate Compliance teams, resident in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Febus, who will serve as the firm’s Head of East Coast Appeals, joins Dykema after practicing at Proskauer Rose, LLP in New York City for the past decade. Prior to that, she was a federal prosecutor at the United States Department of Justice, Criminal Division.

In her practice, Febus has represented clients in domestic and international internal investigations, federal enforcement actions, complex commercial litigation, and appeals. She has also provided anti-corruption due diligence for a spectrum of corporate clients.

During her time as a federal prosecutor, Febus successfully chaired complex criminal trials. She also coordinated and executed large-scale national and international investigations involving various federal law enforcement agencies, multiple federal districts, and international agencies, and advised on the development of prosecution and enforcement policies, legislation, and appeals.

“Chantel brings a wealth of knowledge in critically important practice areas,” said Eric Fingerhut, Managing Member of Dykema’s Washington, D.C., office. “She is a highly accomplished, well-rounded, and respected lawyer who will undoubtedly enhance our offerings and service to clients.”

Febus earned a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School and a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from St. John Fisher College.

Febus also held three clerkships, including for The Honorable Clarence Thomas, Associate Justice, United States Supreme Court; The Honorable Edith H.
